A highly-talented sportsman, Jay plays for England Deaf Golf and has a handicap of +1. He has played at the highest level representing England on six occasions, winning the European Deaf Golf Team Championship twice. He has also finished 3rd in European Deaf Golf Championship Individuals and 2nd in his first World Deaf Golf Championship appearance.
Jay has won the South Deaf Golf Association Championship three times in a row. Other wins include the England Deaf Golf Open Championship. He has also represented England Deaf Golf in the Four Nations Cup, a competition contested by teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales
Continuing on from these successes, Jay has been selected to represent England Deaf Golf at the 2024 World Deaf Golf Championship. This event will be hosted at RACV Pines Golf Course in Australia.

As England Deaf Golf do not receive any kind of funding from governing bodies, it falls upon golfers to raise funds for themselves.
